Whether you're spin casting, still fishing, drift fishing or fly-fishing off your boat, the Power-Pole shallow water boat anchor is sure to help you land more fish.

best way to catch fish

You've seen lots of pros using the Power Pole Anchor to gain an edge during salt water fishing tournaments, but its growing in popularity with fresh water fishermen, too! Both recreational and pro anglers are discovering they can get closer to the fish with the Power Pole Shallow Water Anchor than they ever have before.

You'll no longer have to worry about running that noisy trolling motor, muddying up the water and scaring the fish away. The Power Pole Anchor silently anchors your boat exactly where you want it within seconds - which means you can fish right where you are, instead of playing chase all day.

Great Fishing Spots using the Power-Pole Shallow Water Anchor

There are so many great ways to use our shallow water boat anchor system, it'd be near impossible to list them all here. But here are some great starting points for you to build on:

  • Lakes or Pond Fishing - look for weedbeds, rocks, lilypads and drop the Power Pole Anchor with your back to the sun. Larger game fish like to hide in these sheltered areas and feed on bait fish.
  • Sight fishing - keep your eye out for driftlines around the lake, and anchor down within casting range. The surface water being pushed around provides food for the fish, making for some nice catches.
  • Rivers or Streams - anchor your skiff boat or bass boat near outside bends. Fish tend to hang out here and look for food as it's pushed around by the current.
  • Merging Currents - wherever you run into two areas of water meeting each other, you can count on more fish. Silently anchor just before the merge and reel them in.
  • Estuaries - pick a spot near the mouth of the river, where it meets the ocean bay. A great fishing area to catch redfish, striped bass, large mouth bass, trout, and more.
  • Eddies - This is a perfect place to use 2 Power Pole Shallow Water Anchors. The fast river water running into an inlet can have the bow of your boat drifting all over while your'e casting and reeling. Add another Power Pole Anchor to the bow and hold rock-steady in currents up to 30 knots.
